Assessments

How will you track and assess student learning? Here are some ideas.
  • Give weekly reflection assignments that you can use for formative assessment. Use google docs so you can give regular feedback and plan instruction.
  • Tie the learning goals for this project to the Transferrable Skills. Students can self assess on their growth in 2-4 of these skills that you decide should be the focus of this unit.
  • Have weekly conferences with student groups or individuals, keep notes on the progress in relation to Transferrable Skills and selected proficiencies.
  • Select 2-4 learning targets and proficiencies from literacy, science, social studies, math or other areas to focus on . Share with students the learning targets for their project and create a learning scale with feedback from the students. Or update and use this one (please make a copy first).
