Welcome to this plan for teachers.

A note for teachers

My name is Katy Farber, and I am a professional development coordinator, former sixth grade teacher, and an author from Vermont.

I am combining these roles to bring you a plan for project-based learning that is based on my middle school novel, called The Order of the Trees, published  by Green Writers Press in May, 2015. I hope you will find it helpful as you plan meaningful instruction and projects with your students that can help them engage with local habitats and conservation.
IThis project based learning plan can be used as students are reading The Order of the Trees, or after they have completed it. There are extensive discussion questions for your use at the end of the book as well.

Please offer any suggestions or feedback on these materials on Twitter (@non_toxic_kids) or email me at
katyfarber@gmail.com. I would love to hear from you. I would also love to visit your school and students!

Thank you for teaching,

Katy
